With Great Lent approaching, one of the pious practices to consider adding to your prayer rule is the recitation of the Jesus Prayer, which is often assisted by the use of a prayer rope.
These prayer ropes made by the nuns of the Holy Monastery of St. Paisius in Arizona are available in BLACK EBONY and BAYOUNG WOOD. Each has 50 beads, and they are available with either 6mm or 8mm size beads.
To learn more about the use of the Jesus Prayer, consider the helpful booklet “The Prayer Rope” published by Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Monastery or the more in-depth “The Jesus Prayer: The Ancient Desert Prayer that Tune the Heart to God” by Frederica Mathewes-Green.
